We are so glad you are checking out Adaville Baptist Church. We are a multi-generational church located in Spindale, NC. You’ll find us to be a welcoming group of folks who embrace the fact that we’re imperfect and in need of grace. It’s because of that, we’re also fans of giving grace…so don’t worry about not having it all together. We just hope you’ll join us in exploring God and the claims of Christ and how all of that applies to our lives.
Be sure to check out the following links and the FAQ’s below. If you still have questions, please don’t hesitate to give us a call. We’re so honored that you’re considering Adaville!
Frequently Asked Questions
Where Should I Go When I First Arrive?
We know that going into a new place with new people can be a bit intimidating. When you arrive at our location, parking is to the left and rear of the sanctuary. As you enter the building there will be greeters available to direct you to the nursery, sanctuary, or wherever you are looking to go. We’re here to help so please don’t hesitate to ask.
What Are Services Like?
Our Sunday services offer powerful live worship and Biblical teaching that is relevant to everyday life. The services usually include preaching, prayer and music.
What Should I Wear?
Adaville has a “come as you are” atmosphere. You will see some dressed up and some dressed casual. We have no expectations for attire and truly are more concerned about you feeling welcome than we are about how you dress. If you’re looking for a middle ground, business casual is probably something to shoot for.
What Will The Music Be Like?
Our worship through music is a combination of traditional hymns and contemporary Christian music. The lyrics to songs will be projected on the screen and sometimes we use hymnals. The singing is usually accompanied by piano or a CD, but sometimes other instruments are incorporated as well.
What Do You Have For My Children?
We have a lot to offer your children, and believe that they will have the best experience in an environment that is designed for their age group. Preschoolers have a worship time designed just for them in Room FL102 that lasts the duration of the worship service.
Some of our other children’s opportunities include: Sunday School; “Bible Skills, Drills, & Thrills” on Sunday evenings; Children’s Choir on Monday afternoons; Spark on Wednesday; and other activities throughout the year (see our Children’s page).
What Will My Teens Do During The Service?
After Sunday School, teens participate in the regular worship service. They can sit with their parent(s) or they are welcome to join the majority of the other teenagers in the front pews. There are other opportunities for worship and discipleship designed for teens on Sunday evenings and Wednesday evenings, as well as events throughout the year (see our Youth page).
Should I Arrive Early?
Our services start at 10:45. If you are new, you might want to show up a few minutes early to allow time to find your way to the right place and get comfortable. If you have children, you may want to allow a few extra minutes.
How Long Do Services Last?
Our Sunday morning services are designed to last until noon. Our other services usually last about an hour.
Am I Expected To Give During The Offering Time?
We believe that giving is an act of worship for those committed to Christ, so we include it as a part of our worship service just like singing and teaching. Although you aren’t obligated, we invite you to give as you feel led.
What About Communion?
We celebrate the Lord’s Supper (also known as communion) once a quarter (and other times when it fits with the life of the church). We believe that we are called to remember what Jesus did for us through this Christian ordinance and it has special meaning to us. If you are a believer in Jesus, we invite you to join us in this celebration.
Still Have Questions?
We’d love to answer any questions you might have.
