Psalm 127:3a Children are a gift from the Lord.
Deuteronomy 6:7 Repeat [the Lord’s commandments] again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up.
Luke 2:52 Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and all the people.
These verses guide the Children’s Ministry at Adaville. We want every child to know they are loved by God and by God’s people; we strive to tell them the great stories of God’s love through as many creative ways as we possibly can; our goal is to create an environment that encourages them to grow like Jesus.
Here’s how that happens:
Relationships: Adaville Children’s Ministry is led by gifted, screened, equipped, and trained leaders who love God and love kids. We understand that children learn and grow best when they feel loved and valued. We strive to create a safe, loving environment in which your child can grow.
Fun: For kids, learning and fun go hand-in-hand. Kids learn best when they enjoy what they are doing. So we do our best to make every moment as much fun as possible, without compromising the message. We do this with games, music, art, drama, and storytelling.
Variety: Every child learns differently. We utilize as many different types of teaching as possible, not only because it is fun (see above), but because the more unique ways a message is communicated, the more likely it is to be understood and become part of who your child is. (Plus, it doesn’t hurt to have a little repetition; see Duet 6:7 above.)
Bible: Because the Bible is God’s primary source for revelation, it is our primary source for content. You can feel confident that the time, effort, and other resources you put into your child’s involvement in Adaville Kids is well-spent, biblically-founded, and God-focused.
